Day Ninety – Saturday Shift

As I type ‘day 90’, I’m in shock. I cannot believe that in 10 days I will have completed the first leg of my journey in the world of fitness and health. I’d never truly believed in the beginning that I could come this far and keep it up and I’ve proven myself wrong, which means a lot to me. I now have a different level of confidence and do not ever doubt myself before trying something. I’ve achieved so much in this time and it just keeps getting better. I’ve shaved down my running times, ventured into the weights section, discovered new classes and tried lots of new, healthy foods and recipes. Things have changed and it’s been for the better. I have never been happier and now feel so at ease in my skin.

I was working today and the gym doesn’t open until 8am on a Saturday morning which frustrates me a lot. I find it too rushed to get a good workout in before starting work at 9.30, so I took another rest day today. I do only tend to go to the gym 4 times a week when I work on a Saturday, which is still a lot better than nothing. My shift went by pretty quickly as I was really busy. I was so eager to get home and relax.

My intake for the day was:

  • Nutrigrain Granola Bar
  • Graze Apple, Cinnamon Almonds and Raisins
  • Minestrone Cup a Soup
  • 2 Home-made Enchiladas w/ Tortilla Chips

It wasn’t the best day in terms of nutrition but I was happy enough with my intake and enjoyed a delicious meal cooked by Brandon’s Mum for me getting in from work; a lovely treat.

Time for the usual Saturday night movie (if I can stay awake) and I also have to get organised for tomorrow. It’s our first Sunday without having to go round open-viewings to find a flat so we’re off out for lunch to celebrate!
