As normal, I used my Saturday as a rest day after working out 5 times during the week. However, Brandon and I took his dog, Molly for a walk in the morning. The route we took was beautiful; sunny and varied in gradient. We walked for around an hour and it was the perfect opportunity to enjoy the nice weather and each others company. I much prefer being outdoors on the weekend than being stuck inside not really doing anything with my days off.
After our walk we had a pretty busy day! We went to Sainsbury’s and did our weekly food shop. This is one of my favourite parts of the week; it’s so therapeautic and I love knowing that I’m prepped and ready for a week of eating well! I was also hunting around clothes shops for something to wear to go out in the evening. I’d had a bit of a disaster earlier in the day whilst trying things on for my friend’s birthday night out. I just felt like none of my dresses fitted me properly since my body has changed in size and shape. I haven’t actually worn any of them in quite a long time so this was a little bit of a shock. In the end I settled for a skirt and top – always a safe bet. I don’t really go out drinking that much anymore so I haven’t bought any new dresses that fit properly. I’m 100% happier in my gym clothes and I never thought that would be the case. I used to love getting glammed up more than anything, and now I absolutely hate it.
My intake for the day was:
- Bran Flakes w/ Semi-Skimmed Milk
- Baked Potato w/ Low Fat Cheddar Cheese
- Chicken Stir Fry w/ Mushrooms, Spring Onion and Beansprouts
- McDonald’s Chicken Nuggets and Chips
Despite the outfit drama, I had a really good night in the end. It was lovely to catch up with friends I haven’t seen for a long time; something I need to make more of an effort with. I only had around 4 drinks so I got home nicely merry. However, I did make a very bad choice and ended up with a McDonalds on the way home. Oops!
Let’s hope my hangover isn’t too bad in the morning!
