Yes, I’m ill but I’m not bed bound (as much as I’d love to have a day in bed) so I dragged my ass to the gym, feeling majorly sorry for myself. There was no way I could breathe well enough to complete a long run so I opted for a strength training session instead. Despite not feeling well I had a great workout and my muscles are feeling it now. I discovered a new exercise, which I stole from a friends Instagram account – the rocking plank – which I felt working particularly well and hopefully my little abs are going to keep popping through!
The girls in my work have a saying ‘starve a fever, feed a cold’ but I tried my best to avoid that despite my cravings for carby, comfort food. My intake was:
- Apple
- Soreen Lunchbox Loaf
- Nutrigrain Raisin Bar
- Chicken w/ Leftover Couscous
- Pasta w/ Tomato and Chilli Sauce, Creme Fraiche and Sundried Tomatoes (just what I needed!)
Another evening in bed with a cup of tea is on the cards. I genuinely can’t wait until I’m 100% again and can get back to training and running properly! Being ill sucks!
