I woke up feeling pretty exhausted and have my suspicions that I may have a cold coming on. I’m trying my best not to over-do it and as a result am developing a much healthier and more sustainable relationship with exercise however, I did have an amazing workout this morning. I contemplated not going to the gym but decided to go and see how I felt. I ran 8km (my furthest run so far) and I felt incredible afterwards.
I feel a little guilty about my intake over the weekend as I’ve a takeaway every weekend for the last three weeks – a fact I’m not proud of, but then I remember I’m working out 4 or 5 times a week and eating well on the whole. I often forget that I’m not in training for a bikini competition. It’s just about finding a balance between eating healthily and having a little indulgence. If you’re driving yourself insane because you want some junk food – I’d say have it, because a healthy mind is essential to your overall well-being. You’ll either say that was great but I remember why I don’t do that all the time or you will regret it, but you just have to move on from it no matter how it makes you feel. I need to remember that one meal won’t hurt me; it’s how I deal with any emotions after having a treat that may affect my progress.
My intake for today was much better and I’ve put the weekend behind me:
- Nutrigrain Raisin Bar
- Salt and Vinegar SnackaJacks
- Salad w/ Chicken
- Cajun Chicken w/ Sweet Potato
There’s a lot of changes going on in my life right now, mainly moving house and I’m just getting settled back into a normal routine. I was super tired after not sleeping so well but I’m feeling content and embracing the change. It’s definitely been needed for a little while.
