Day Fifty Two – The Little Things

This morning’s run was a failed one as shin splints got the better of me, so I trained my arms and abs instead. I felt a little disappointed but also know I made a sensible call to stop running. The last thing I want is to cause further injury and not be able to work out at all.

I should have lowered my intake given that I hadn’t burned as many calories as normal, but I was super hungry. Here it is:

  • 2 x Nutrigrain Granola Bar
  • Nutrigrain Raisin Bake
  • 2 x Apples
  • Chicken w/ Rice and Salad
  • Chicken w/ Rice and Asparagus
  • Graze BBQ Smokehouse Pack

Although I had to give up on my run I’m still feeling pretty positive. I think that eating well and the weather over the last few days has really boosted my mood.

After work I went to get my eyebrows done. It’s something as simple as this that can make me feel instantly better about myself. I enjoy looking after my appearance and it helps me stay on track when I’m feeling good. The positive energy fuels me to continue in bettering myself. For me, that’s what life is about; the little things in like that make you happy on a daily basis. It’s cheesy but true.
