I can’t actually believe how far into this journey I am now; a whole 38 days! It really has flown by. Granted, every day has not been perfect but on the whole I’m changing my lifestyle for the better and loving (almost) every minute of it. I feel great and I’m confident in my body. I’m eating a lot more and am no longer scared to fuel my body with food.
I didn’t work out today as I was enjoying a lazy day off with Brandon. In hindsight, I wish I’d just gone to the gym or gone out for a run, but I’ll get over it. I’m enjoying a healthy balance between having a social life and maintaining my fitness goals. I still have another 4 days left of the week and I will most likely go to the gym on 3 of those.
Tonight I went out for dinner with my friend Sophie, who I’ve not seen for ages. We usually go out, end up drinking too much and I wake up regretting everything, but tonight we went to one of my favourite restaurants for a civilised dinner. I had no interest in drinking and took the car so that I could not be swayed on this decision. It turned out that my friend was driving too, so it worked out well and dinner was delicious!
My intake for today was:
- Pineapple and Black Grapes
- Chicken and Couscous
- Nutrigrain Granola Bar
- Fillet Steak w/ Mixed Salad (I passed on the chips)
I have been feeling like my diet has been a little repetitive recently. I have found things that work for me and I’ve stuck to them; but I’m interested in trying some new things in order to see what results I get. I do worry that I’ll try something and it not work but then I’ll never know if I don’t try.
The next few weeks are definitely going to be exciting for my progress!
