I’ve been feeling really positive all day today. I can see and feel real progress in my training and am also in such a good place with my food intake. I can’t help but be proud of myself for how far I have some in just a mere 31 days, and long may this continue. I’m finally getting where I want to be.
As I’m in the middle of Bear Grylls’ autobiography, I find myself dreaming of adventure on a daily basis. I want to go hiking in the Welsh mountains, long walks at the weekend in Edinburgh and the biggest dream of all is to climb Mount Everest. I’m a million miles away from that at the moment and it may not even be a possibility (there’s talk of the mountain closing to footfall) but I can’t help but feel a little spark inside me when I’m running, spurring me on to get there one day. I don’t know what it is about Everest, but it’s got me hook, line and sinker.
I upped the aunty with my workout again this morning, running 7km – this time I ran the majority at incline. There was another girl I see in the gym regularly, on the treadmill beside me and it really pushed me to work harder and keep going. I hope to keep increasing my distances, speeds and incline over time. I’m going to have to start going to the gym earlier though – as I don’t have enough time to run any longer before work at the moment. I hope to be running 10km within the next few weeks.
My intake for today was:
- Black Grapes
- Nutrigrain Granola Bar
- Nutrigrain Blueberry Bar
- Leftover Fajita Chicken w/ Couscous
- Small M&S Chocolate Bunny (oops.. I fell victim to office temptations – it was amazing!)
- Fillet Steak w/ Asparagus, Tenderstem Broccoli and Tomatoes
After an unbelievably good steak (my favourite dinner) it’s time to chill out on the sofa with Brandon!
