I woke up in the best mood, ready to take on the day. Then I got the pretty rubbish news that the offer I’d put in on the flat I loved had been unsuccessful. The flat ended up going for £20,000+ over what it was actually worth, which is simply ridiculous and I was never willing to pay that kind of money anyway but it doesn’t make it any less disappointing. It’s horrible; I’ve felt sick to my stomach all day in the knowledge that after submitting my offer it was entirely out of my control. So now I have to pick myself up, get back to the drawing board and back on the hunt for another flat! Next time I’m definately not getting my hopes up so much.
I find it particularly difficult to come back from times like this; when life knocks me down. However, it’s something I’m working on; becoming a stronger person mentally. I had a little cry in work but I’m feeling a bit better now.
The positive energy I woke up with was fuel for a great workout this morning. I ditched the cardio to rest my knees and did some weight training instead. I had just over an hour in the gym so I worked on a little bit of everything. I’m feeling it now and I love it! I may have to eliminate the running from my workouts for the rest of the week, just to give my knee a proper rest.
Today’s intake was pretty fruity:
- Smoothie w/ Raspberries, Strawberries, 1 Banana and Petits Filous Raspberry Yoghurt
- Nutrigrain Granola Bar (I’m hooked! These are amazing!)
- Black Grapes
- 1 Chicken Breast w/ Peri Peri Seasoning and Couscous
- Leftover Slow Cooker Chicken Curry w/ 1/2 Packet Uncle Ben’s Long Grain Rice
A rubbish day has left me feeling a little demotivated, so I’m off to get some rest and will hopefully wake up in a better mood tomorrow and have a lot more to say!
