I had a day off today, which ended up being really productive! Brandon and I spent the morning cleaning the entire flat – it was really needing done! I’ve neglected it recently due to being too tired when I get home from work. I really hate cleaning but the satisfaction when it’s done is amazing! We then got to chill out on the sofa, with candles on for the rest of the evening! That’s the best; when everything’s clean, it smells amazing and you get to put your feet up! It makes all the hard work worth it.
It was also a beautiful day which always helps motivate me to get on with my day and be more positive!
I decided to take a rest day; both to get on with the flat and because my inner thighs were killing me when I woke up. I was so happy when I woke up with the pain; which sounds completely sadistic, but it’s not! It’s always been the area of my body I’ve hated most and has made me exceptionally self concious throughout my teenage years! I’m finally managing to tone and get rid of it!
I started watching a new programme – the TV series based on the film ‘Limitless’. It follows the story of the neuro-enhancement drug, NZT and it’s effects on the brain. It allows the user to perform at optimum level, increasing intelligence and efficiency. It got me thinking about being the best version of yourself. I have to admit that throughout this journey so far, I have learned that being healthy and positive all the time is a pretty mean feat! It’s not easy to be 100% ‘perfect’ but I’m beginning to accept that! I was always so hard on myself and it became my downfall. If I ate something I told myself was ‘bad’ things would spiral out of control and I’d give up, promising to start again tomorrow or if I didn’t work out that day I’d beat myself up about it. It’s started to sink in that that was never healthy and now I’m doing much better!
My day today was filled with carbs, Oops:
- Pasta w/ Lloyd Grossman Tomato and Chilli Sauce
- Baked Potato w/ Pasta Shapes
- M&S Count On Us Raspberry Mousse
We move out of our flat in around 5 weeks time and are trying to use up the food in our cupboards/drawers. I’m trying my best to incorporate these tinned items into a healthy diet. It’s going to be a challenge but that’s what this is about!
